Welcome to Sutton St James

Sutton St James Anglican Church has been at the heart of the village of Sutton since its dedication in 1840.

But it is far more than simply a building. 

The church is a group of committed Christians from all walks of life who enjoy gathering together to meet with each other, but above all to meet with God as revealed in Jesus Christ.

The ministry of the church is shared throughout the community where, prayerfully, there is as much faith being shared outside the building as there is within.

Whilst, undeniably, there is a strong emphasis on the choral tradition of our Anglican heritage, worship does not begin and end with our fine choir nor beautiful organ.  There is a very active 'Young Church' and numerous mid-week activities.

St James also enjoys very close links with Langley Methodist Church and the Roman Catholic Church of St. Edward's in Macclesfield.

Whatever you background, tradition or origin, you are always welcome.
